Mixing and Routing
Volume and Panning
Composer will be able to parse out volume and pan settings from any track supported.
We currently do not support volume and pan automation.
Sends
MIDI
Sending MIDI to another track will route the MIDI as expected. This is very useful if you want several Performers to play the same VST3 instrument, as they will then share the same sampler instance, which can save a lot of CPU. The same goes for Stingers: if you want several Stinger:
tracks to play the same instrument or share the same sampler instance as a Performer.
Audio
Routing audio to another track will function as expected, though currently, this is primarily applicable to the reverb use-case (see below).
Built-in Effects
Reverb
To utilize the built-in reverb, send audio to a track prefixed with Send: Reverb
. This will direct a Performer's signal to the reverb effect before routing it to the master bus.
While you can apply any reverb effect you have on this channel, Composer will default to using its built-in reverb effect once imported.
